What the initial problem was thought to be
Rural, allied health healthcare and disability providers need a way to successfully implement allied health assistants into their practice/service.
What the problems turned out to be
Rural practices and services do not have a clear understanding of the type of problems allied health assistants are optimally able to help them to overcome in their organisations.
Rural practices and services do not have a clear understanding of the systems, resources and processes that need to be in place to ensure consumers, staff and the organisation all benefit from the introduction of an allied health assistant in their service.
What the end result was
The online learning package was built using a combination of contemporary evidence and program logic.
Program logic is used to walk the participant through decisions they need to make when designing and implementing an allied health assistant model so it will be impactful.
One rural allied health practice owner describes what they got out of the course here.
Anna describes the course here.
